When we started AmWeb, we didn’t want to be yet another online agency.
In fact, AmWeb is basically the anti-agency agency!
We hire team members with life experience – people who have worked in retail, as well as lived and breathed the world of online. Most of the team have had to hire agencies in the past. So, when we started AmWeb (and it’s predecessor Hilco Web); we pledged to ourselves and our clients, that we would not be like other online agencies – we would add value.
Capped Costs – No commissions
One of the biggest challenges running any business, is being able to control cashflow / cost.
One of the things that used to bug us with other agencies, is the idea of paying a retainer, and then paying them more, for booking advertising. Benefiting from our advertising investment.
What you see is what you get with AmWeb, you’ve paid for our time. We work for you. You don’t pay a penny more. For some of our larger accounts, this means our clients save £12,000-£15,000 a month, just from Paid Search, when compared to booking via other agencies.
We change as you change
We hope that if you come on board with us, we will be working together forever. But we also understand that your requirements will evolve over time, so we do not penalise you for changing your requirements. You may need intensive SEO support one month, while needing development advice another month. You can tweak your requirements as you like. What we do, is work with you, to establish how many hours we expect to spend on your account each month – you can flex these up and down as you like, or use them on whatever you like. Your account manager can guide you on this.
Return on Investment
Prior to becoming an agency, our background has been to think outside the box and to work on a shoe string, that’s the approach we take on all of our projects.
We work with clients to maximise the bang for their buck. Establishing measures of success, and weekly reporting is a key part of this.
We’ll be honest with you
While we’re not suggesting that our counterparts at other agencies are Pinocchio’s of online marketing.
What we mean by this, is that when asked, we’ll give you honest advice on whether something will work. Even if that means that we lose out on business.
This has actually happened – when we first started, despite being desperate for income; we actually turned down a huge project, months of employment – and recommended a solution that took an afternoon to deliver instead – as this was the best way of delivering our client’s goals.
We don’t complain if you decide to ignore our advice however. We just want you to be informed. Ultimately, you’re the boss, and understand where you want to go with your business. We will do all we can to make, whatever you want to do, a success.
